Clutch/flywheel needed Doing a motor sway for a customer and his clutch and flywheel could be replaced.
If you have something Brand new that can handle 450+RWHP or slightly used PM me ASAP.
If your close enough I will drive whereever and pick it up.
Offer is good only until tomorrow as the motor has to be back up and running by Friday.
If you have something brand new that you plan on using I will rebuy a new one tomorrow and give you 20 bucks cash for the one you have at your house.

I think we are just gonna leave it as is for now and replace it next week or the week after.
If not then we would end up with a clutch with less then 15 miles geting dyno time and street driven for tuning and that might not be the best idea.

Customer was pretty cool about it, but decited to bring it back in a few weeeks instead of driving the rental car any longer.

No problem. Actually just sold it for a Z06 here in the shop and have another coming in today. As far as tuning with a new clutch, it is usually not a big deal as you are putting a "progressive" load on the clutch and should not bother it, at least a good clutch :-) We have run several on the dyno with new clutches and as long as it is a normal engagement, no harsh high RPM shifts and slow accel initially, it will be fine. SPEC Stage 2 on a twin turbo car held fine. Not saying a clutch should not be broken in, but things can be done within reason for sure, just be smart about it. Talk to you soon.
