Ahh, I've seen quite a few SOM ss's (prolly the same one though haha). There is a black GTO that works at the mall and parks out by the food court (aways away though) I think he was trying to mess around a little, but that could've been him being late for work. It's crazy because I don't know anyone that has an f-body, vette, or GTO in Ocala that is on this site, well except you. My neighbor has a 99 trans am with duals, but that's about it. His name is Dan, you might know him.

Is that so...where do you work, where is it located? Is this when I owned the car, or before? You should stop me sometime...

I work at National Parts Depot, just west of I-75 off State Road 40 (Silver Springs Blvd). If you are ever in the area between 8-5 Monday through Friday, look me up!

I've seen the car heading down Magnolia a few times.....

Yup, I work at the architect's office right there at the train station, bus stop, dee dee's dog house area. It's where walton's service center (the place in smokey and the bandit (I think the 3rd one) where they hit all of the ice) used to be (if you remember that) we renovated it and turned it into an office. My girlfriend works at the court house, and my dad works at ocala lincoln mercury, my gf's mom's boss is my uncles (the state attorney) secratery as well so we are all right in the same area. It's kinda funny, I never thought about it before.

My buddy co-owns Ocala Tire, and that's where I was hanging out one afternoon when I heard something nasty coming, turned to look and saw your car coming. I actually know Jabari well, and drove the car before he sold it. Made me want a 6-speed BAD over my auto Formula.

Yes, he's a pretty nice guy. I'll be up at UF next school year, so I'll probably be around ya'll fairly often. I've added a few things, and fixed a few things since I bought the car. Now I'm kind of at a stand still on what to do. I'm trying to decifer a forged 347 or 402/408 w/nitrous. I want the 402/408 but I don't think I can afford it. I still need a nice rear end. I have another 10-bolt from an ss w/4.10 gears and the auburn posi, but I'm sure it won't last if I beat on it. I broke the other one shifting 1-2 on these sumitumo 315's (crappy) don't know how it happened but I though I broke the tranny. I had just gotten it built and put a new clutch in it, so...I was scared. It still sucked anyhow.

777,

I'd look into the rear end possibly before the engine build-up. Stick-shift cars usually torture the rear-end worse than autos, and it'll be a "once you buy it,never worry again" deal...

I will do that before I get into the bigger power. I don't launch it and I don't shift hard 1-2 so I'm not really putting any stress on it. It won't see the track for a few more years as well. I'm about to change the cam though. I'm thinking smaller - comp 224/224 .581/.581 110+4lsa XE-R here is a graph of the xe version with .565 lift. Such a sweet torque curve (which is what I'm after. I don't need the 6500rpm peak since I shift at 6000)
