Ernesto wasn't anything crazy, everyone expected it to strengthen before land fall and it couldn't hold itself together. We have had regular thunder storms down here in Miami, that make Ernesto look like just a small drizzle that floated on by. But i ain't complaining i get the day off.

People went crazy over this stupid storm. I work at a grocery store and people thought it was the end of the world or something. I have never seen five pallets of water disappear in an hour. All of this for a little drizzle. Damn weather forcasters.

What you guys don't understand is how much political pressure there was for the fed gov't, state gov't and FEMA to respond if there had been another storm. so yea they didn't want to take any chances..

I can tell ya all about this, I am an ex FEMA employee I resigned from those ***********. Its as badly run as you think it is..

This storm was a joke. lol I woke up this morning expecting to see some damage, even if a damn leaf from a tree had made its way on or near my car. Nothing, its drizzling. Right now, the back patio is starting to dry. lol I've got enough non-perishable goods and water to last me 5 hurricanes, along with a full tank of gas.
