some people just take what they can get with these cars, since you cant really order them anymore.....or some of us are just lazy

yea i hear ya on that. I looked for a good year before I found what I wanted. Had an opportunity to pic up a few LS1 T/As but all in my price range were Auto with Tan interior, two things I don't do. Picked up my car for $8000, 65k miles were on it, lady was original owner, had every receipt from every service, original sticker, ect. So I'm happy, but i drove an Auto for way to man years, it just wasn't exciting to me when i wanted to step on it

10's on a 6M is hard to do and not replace a clutch twice a year. But you never know, one of these days we may get a setup that will work.

As you know me Mike ,my 6 speed was always right on the money in my old car ,which is yours now. Went 10.6 @ 133.5 with 1.60 60' with stock bottom end. With built bottom and spray did 695 rwhp on dyno. Went 10.8 on motor and 9.7 @ 144 on spray. I shifted the **** out of it and had one throttle activated stage and another on a button in my hand for the second. Theres no feeling like a 2 step 6500 rpm launch, 325 rwhp shot of spray and all you can see is sky. That was about 2 years ago.

My vette that Im building will have a glide for duribity and traction reasons.

I really dont know why I didnt need the money the car had everything you could buy for it plus I was in the process of putting a 408 & proshifted M6 in it I still have the motor & tranny but no car. I have my eyes on a Blue 67 400/4spd 12 bolt Firebird the car is Sweet plus it has factory Ladder bars the car is 1 of 8 with the options it has and the I am looking @ a 98 WS6.

The Mcleod single disk I had was custom built from Mcleod I had close to 40 passes in the lower to mid 10's on it. I did explode the pressure plate in the middle of 3rd somehow @ BMP which SUCKED because I had to get a 186 mile tow bill Triple A hooked me up for a 100 miles free but the tow truck driver & his girlfriend was drunk and stopped for more beer twice some of the PB crew saw these characters it was a adventure home for sure .

I remember that was a long day for you. It even took off a piece of the block didnt it?
I always used a Mcleod single disk with ceramic facing. It held every time.
