Help me decide where to race this weekend!!
Help me decide where to race this weekend!! There are two events on sunday, and I can't decide which one to go to. You guys have to persuade me toward one or the other
1) 8.00 heads up shootout at atmore dragway. I'm fuggin tired of drag racing, because I suck at it, badly. With enough boost and nitrous though, I can get my car to low 8's in the 1/8th with a 2.2 60'. Winner gets $$$, RU gets $$, 3rd gets $. There is about a 0.1% chance I'll place and win any money, but it might be worth a shot. I fixed alot of stuff on my car, so it might launch a little better.
2)SCCA autocross in Dothan alabama. It's a far drive from pensacola, and there is no way I'll win any money. All I'll do is spend money. I think it will be alot more fun though. I like turning.

I love drag racing as well, and I find it somewhat hard to believe you have a hard time hitting an 8.00 in the 1/8-mile with a turbo and spray, but that's just me. Guess sticky tires should be next on the mods list.
But, I drag race because I love it, not for the money. Prize money is like a trophy at a car show. If you get one, it's an extra bonus, but not the reason you attend. It's to have fun.
If you'll have more fun autocrossing, then do that!

I vote drag... just practice more and see what happens... besides your car is still setup for drag anyways right?
