Default Sec Champs

excellent game there were a few points where my stomach was turning. but they got it done and shut them down.

i think they deserve that national championship game against OHIO STATE bring them on.

USC lost we should be good to go now. we prove that we could score today and our defense should have given enough style points to get us there

I still think they should have a rematch with Ohio State and Michigan. Just wanna start out and say I am not from Michigan or Michigan fan. Everyone is gonna probably flame the heck out of me anyways but whatever. I just think Michigan deserves it more. Michigan's only loss was a 3 pt loss to Ohio State @ Ohio State. It was a killer game and they should do it again. As a side note if they do the whole rematch for the championship game (and especially if Michigan was to win) I really think that it would help put a playoff system in place (which has been needed for years). Not trying to take anything away from the Gators as they a great team this year.

How about that gator punt for a touchdown talk about some free points that return guy was an idiot and probably gave the game away as the momentum seemed to swing pretty good from that point on.

I am tired of this michigan crap though, I am going back and forth with some guys on another board
Fact is Florida had the toughest schedule in the NATION period end of story. Michigan didnt even win their conference championship so how the hell should they be allowed to play for a national championship?

Feels good to be the champ!

Chris Leak deserved this...he gave our school four great years and it will be a very long time until we have another gifted passer like him. Everyone played great, now go show the rest of the nation that SEC football is the best in the country!

a long time till you have someone as good as leak??? tibow will make everyone forget about leak in no time....

back to the playoff thing...i actually dont agree there should be a playoff...while the system now isnt perfect...it makes the regular season mean something...every week theres a big game....with a playoff system it would take away from the regular season...example...how many people actually follow college basketball before the tournment??

that makes a lot of sense and is very ture about college basketball i dont watch till march hahaha.

but i do think maybe they could make it to where the 8 teams to get a bcs bowl bid to play a playoff stlye finish. atleast that would still mean every game during the season would still mean something. who knows what will happen

but i do know one thing its nice to see the gators win the SEC championship game again

Does their conference even have a championship game (or was the Ohio State game the championship game)? Sounds like it is a bunch of bias gator fans in here (as i figured). Best of luck to the Gators in the BCS bidding they are a great team and do deserve it (I just think Michigan deserves it more). Ohio State will probably just take a Leak on the gators anyways. Not trying to get in to a huge thing here but geez, have a bit of an open mind. How can you say that Michigan wouldnt have won if it was in Michigan. Home field advantage does tend to have a bit of an advantage especially in College football. I would really like to see just a 4 team playoff system over a 8 team system. Computers cant figure things worth a crap. "That is why we play the game!"

....but....they LOST, they had there shot at the number one team, and blew it. Florida only has one loss too AND OVER AN IFFY CALL. And a tougher schedule...so who's to say that the gator's wouldn't beat Ohio St?? Don't know until they have their shot. Like I said, Michigan had there chance, time for someone else. I really don't think you see how good the gators are. They have a GREAT defense (remember defense wins championships), great recievers, great defensive backfield, an awesome freshman running back, and a mediocre quarterback (I really don't like chris leak). Fact of the matter is the team with the 3rd toughest schedule lost to Ohio St by 3, so why can't the team with the same record and THE TOUGHEST schedule win??

I agree here, don't know about a playoff system, but something with the BCS would have to be done.

And Leak's interception to the defensive lineman that HE SAW STANDING THERE wasn't free points??? Gimmie a break. Did you watch the game?? The momentum swing was when the gators ran the fake punt......even though they still had to punt after that.....it put them in position to recover the ball in the endzone and not at the razorback's 20.

I was refering to when the gators punted and the Arkansas return guy tried to catch it at about the 3 yard line (with about 4 gators one step away from him). Muffed the catch and the gators picked it up in the endzone for a touchdown. That guy was a complete idiot. I did watch the game and the interception was pretty bad to but he threw the ball. This thread has been taken over by Gator fans/Alum so I am gonna just stop now, because thread/conversation is going no-where.

Funny thing is noone said the Gators would even beat the hogs.. Florida lost to Auburn in Auburn, and never even gave up a offensive TD. There not a "pretty" as Michigan

Mic will get the nod
