It's cool to see those pics you guys posted. I was at work, but the room I work in is literaly 10 feet from the beach and it was really hard to see. You could see it for about 10 seconds and then lost it in cloud cover. Now the one on the 4th of July, I was also at work and that one was sweet. Even with it being so bright outside.

I saw it when I was driving back from kissimmee on 192. Was wondering what that amber light was to the side and then noticed it was getting higher and higher. "Oh ****, it's the shuttle!!" Very nice indeed.

Scares me. I keep thinking the damn thing is going to blow up. Rumor has it the thing is wayyy behind on maintenance, and it still launches.

Your Rumors are WAY wrong, if there was no maintenance being done, it would launch once a week, thats why theres 60 to 90 days between launches! **** gets torn down just for inspection, when it been proven that theres nothing wrong since its first flight and they still tear it down, and it's not a plane, also ithe 2 accidents were not caused by the Orbiter, 1st was SRB burn thru, 2nd was ET foam came off and put a hole thru the Carbon leading edge,

I have "heard" just what Steve68 is saying. They are very strict with this thing. They don't launch unless everything is perfect.
