Got into UF MBA program. maybe moving to Gainesville

Got into UF MBA program. maybe moving to Gainesville So if I do go there for my masters I will obviously be moving to Gainesville. I have never been there before and dont know a single person who lives there. What is there to do in that city? I may be coming to visit the campus really soon and I would like to know what I should definately check out while I am in town.
Lots of bars and places to drink. There is some car stuff to do on Thursday Nights at Ale House on Archer Road. Besides that there is always the track -- which is no more than 15mins away.
Fun place, congrats on getting in! Lots of bars, lots of girls, typical college town except we have some of the best sports teams in the country. If you are from Oklahoma then you should not have a problem with the ACRs (alachua county residents). I love it up here but unfortuneatly I am leaving after the summer, pursuing a different dream!

I guess the airport in Gainesville is only regional. I am looking up flights and I would have to go way out to denver or Chicago then to charlotte then Gainesville and it costs a ton of money. whats the trick to getting there by air? Should I fly into Tampa for like 1/3 of the cost and just drive?
