Dirty,

Yep, my buddy Jason's car (my engine builder). I saw a black T/A heading south so I figured that was you. I was driving my GMC out.

Red Z? You were parked across from us in the pits, nice sounding ride! I know waiting sucked, but the track stayed sticky all night (I was lining up my buddy in the groove and shoes were sticky all night)!

Lance,

Big congrats dude! I know it sucked waiting all night to make laps, but I'm glad to hear the truck made the 40s happen!

I think we got the transbrake launch on Jason's car set-up for the pump gas drags next month. Put in a timer for the spray (.3 delay), new set of Hoosier 29 x 10.5 quick time pros, and she responded with a 1.35 60 foot and a 9.44 pass on the 3rd and last hit of the night. Air was around 400 DA.

Derek

Yep that was me. My grandparents were in town so I figured I shouldn't stay out too late. Kinda wished I woulda stayed though, but I'm trying to chase down a high RPM gremlin so it wasn't running 100%.

is that gremlin black or black primer? if so, he is good. he used to run
at Jax Raceways all the time. that little car is fast. if he wasnt at 100%,
then he was having some real problems, i have never seen that car down.

I'm talking about the problem with my car not a car.

Yea I was leaving the autox. I did pretty well in my class considering my competition was a mildly modded CTS-V and a 99 SS running on race tires. Only finished a few tenths off with a stock car!

Gainesville Raceway runs both 1/4-mile and 1/8-mile points races. The idea came about after Jax Raceways (which was an 1/8-mile track about 1-1/2 hours away) was closed down at the end of the 2005 season. They saw enough people come out to just run the 1/8-mile series, so they run points races on alternating weekends. The track is still primarily a 1/4-mile track (all TNT races are 1/4-mile).

Eh, had good and bad days. Last time I ran I hooked great (mid 1.5 60 foot times). The guardrails and lack of shutdown made it a hair scary for stopping, but many smaller tracks run that way with the price of land.

WAY off topic, but Deejaydaze, Look at the OSW thread and you should see your friends car in one of the videos.

I wouldn't go that far. Gainesville is a great facility, but if I were to drive to another facility (even if Jax was still open) I'd hit up SGMP or Bradenton before going to Jax Raceways. Jax raced brackets on Friday, so I joined a bunch of buddies a few times to make an hour trip over on Friday afternoon.

Hey I know this is off topic but I will start up another thread in regards to Gville tuning just wanted to see who is interested. Anyone? I see a lot of vehicles here and even if you have been tuned before I promise that I will do a more thorough job and go over everything with you to make sure everything is right.
Please give me a ring 813-495-8778.
