I know that Scott Settlemier (The F-Body Father) has said that if anyone has a problem that they can get ahold of him and he will help out. This is a defect and GM dealerships are suppose to replace it free of charge, you just have to be a real bitch, couple threats of phone calls to higher up and dont budge.

Well, finally got the call back from GM. Basically what they told me that was they reviewed the case and came to the decision that they could not cover it because for 1, I was not the original owner. 2, Because of the age of the car. 3 they couldn't pay for somthing without knowing how the car was treated by the original owner (I LIKE THAT ONE). Oh and GM also said they couldn't pay for somthing that was not a recall.
Go figure,well, thats the outcome. What to do now? I guess i'll try to email Scott Settlemier.
