Driving a car without license plates. Consequences?
Just got the car on saturday, can't register it until monday because they're closed on the weekends.
The car is insured, I have the title, the bill of sale and pretty much everything indicating the car is mine but no registration or license plates.
How much trouble will I get into if I got pulled over by the cops while driving it around a bit?

You'll get a "driving without registration" or "failure to provide proof of registration" citation. If you put another tag from another vehicle on it you're less likely to be stopped, but that's a criminal offense if you do.

fla dont give you a grace period? thats gay! here in ga which i live 5 min form fla you have 30 days to register a car with the dmv aslong as you have bill of sale and insurance they dont care
No valid motor vehicle registration.....2nd degree misdemeanor. Depending on how the cop that pulls you over feels, you can either take a trip to jail, or get a ticket with a court date. Either one is officially an arrest. And not having a tag and driving around is like putting on a humungous bullseye on you.....good luck to you if you try to leave the house with that car unregistered!
My brother-in-law is a po in FL and he told me before I bought my car as long as you have the title and bill of sale and proof of insurance you are fine.
When I bought my SS I drove it over 100 miles back home with no tag.
I didnt even get pulled over either.
Whatever you do, DO NOT put a tag from another car on it. Its some serious **** if you get caught doing that.
