Dont get too many f-body guys doing much though. Not since I ran into that black hooded beast on the interstate a day after we picked up mine. I was just so happy to have a real car again I was giggling all day.

LOL ... that was your last chance John ... glad you got it. The black hood is FINALLY no longer black ... red'r n a dick on a dawg, brother !
Lookin' to get a personalized license plate now ... prob will be the Army one ... not sure what to get on it, though oughta' be worth about 10 more ponies ... he-he-he.
I'll be posting some pics with the new paint/blackbird hood stripes and the CETA paint mod in the back. I gotta' say it looks more like a regular car ... with the black hood, kids used to run like hell when I'd come around a corner ... course I would too if I was a kid and some peckerhead was comin' 'round the corner on 2 wheels
I voted for #2, by the way (unless Josh pulls up beside me), then we both know what to do!!!!

[/QUOTE] Initials were prob K.B. I had the same thing happen to me before my motor build. Late-model Cobra with a Kenne Bell Blowzilla, come to find out. Dude said he was ONLY running 23 lbs of boost.. I out-launched him
, but, when I hit 2nd (A4), he hit 2nd (manual). When he did, that's when I heard it ... was one of those weak-*** lil Eatons capable of 8 lbs of boost. Instead of a whistle, It was more of a haunting night-terror scream coming deep from within the the demonic bowels of the Devil himself. At about 35-40 mph, I saw it in my right-side peripheral view ... at 50mph, I saw his Georgia license plate up ahead. At 60, I was decelerating and watching his tail lights disappear.
If I ever see him again, my vote will quickly switch to #4 above! At least until the nitrous goes on.
I have a different approach now, though ... if someone pipes me, I motion them out of town and let 'em know why they should have piped somebody else.
With the laws the way they are now, I'm with Country Boy. Been too long building on a 10-sec car to get it yanked out from under me and lose my license in a matter of minutes.
I could care less if I get beat by somebody ... just enjoy racing the bird. I know you gotta' have a badass ride to pull me, so, I congratulate anyone who does. Good to see ya' input some info here man. Take care and build it for 8's.
