Performance Automatic (4L60E) Shops in Central Florida I've pretty much been screwed once allready, I need to find someone that knows how to build a high horsepower 4L60E. Thanks guys

there not in florida though. I've already got 1300+ in this tranny and I need someone to inspect and fix any problems with it. Money is tight and I can't afford to ship it anywhere.

I've got about 700 runs on the one in our 11.20 bracket car and still going strong....were in Tampa, but we guarantee it. You'll be in good hands w/Performabuilt to if they are closer. We have 3 bracket cars w/our 4L60e's in them.

I didnt realize performabuilt was so close.
Really though, I have good parts, It just needs to be checked over because I'm not very confident in the builder. My first tranny from him failed less than 1000k and 4 track passes.

ls1envy I would be more than willing to taqke a look at it and see what is up with it if you wanna bring it up.....maybe we could fix it. lol well one of us is close they are shipped and built in Penn but Frank and I do the tech support and sales and Customer relations and I just happen to reside in Ormond Beach (daytona)

your a stand up dude PB2..... seriously though, i'm trying to figure out how i'm gonna approach my "friend" with all this. I kind of dont want to tell him he frickin sucks at building trannies. even though i shelled out 1100 for the build and I have that right. but he's supposebly some tranny guru that used to own a shop. anyway it's sitting on his bench and i think he should stick to stock rebuilds.
I guess I'll just run over and grab the tranny off his bench and tell him that im takin it elsewhere....but what about parts? do you have frictions and a band there you could sell me? otherwise I'll order some tonight. thanks for helping me out. you really don't understand how cursed I am. and i'm very thankful.

well icould get them from my local supplier in orlando wide band 25.00 my cost and friction module wil be about 36.00 my cost....what 3-4 setup are you using as far as the friend goes just be honest tell him you have spent to much money to have it go out again and that you are going to take it elswhere.....ooops lol i used my old screename same person just different name lol

i got a kit from a guy. five pinion planets,beast,wide band, etc. I think the clutches were just alto clutches with thin steels, i think he ended up with 9 clutches in there.
For clutches, i'll run whatever setup you guys recommend.

the guy is supplying the band and all the gaskets and stuff, i'm gonna give him money and he's gonna try and get me clutches from his supplier. What kind of clutch setup and band do you guys reccommend?

It will be around next friday before I can deal with it I am pretty busy this week you could bring it to me and I can pick at it this week when I get the time. I would rather look at it before I get parts so I can get what I need the first time. We wil probably have to get a new seperator plate also no telling what your builder has drilled. I will get the clutches and band just get the tranny to me and a few dollars for parts I will need to get.
