FL 9 inchers (come inside)
What shops backup their installs on this kinda ****?
I'm looking to put in a 9 inch in.
How much did it run you for the shop install?
Any problems?
Do it myself?

I don't expect a shop to put a 365 day warranty on a rear I buy from a sponsor here.
I do expect a shop to put some kind of warranty on an installed rear.
What kinda stuff do you run into as a shop when installing a rear?
Goodbye have a nice day?
Break it in 30 days and we'll see what we can do?
If the gears are setup by Moser....do you as a shop guarantee your work?
That kinda stuff......and thanks for looking!

the title is pretty funny actually.
i wasnt even going to respond
anyways, the best way to discuss the shop's particular warranty is to talk to them directly. now most shops on this site will back up their labor. as for the workmanship of the part itself, again up to the shop.

Its easy to put in with a jack and a few jack stands. I say DIYS.
Just get a adj, pan hard bar to center it when you get it in.
You might want to go with stock ford gears they will be quiter then race gears.

i did it myself, but i am a tech at maroone chevy its not that hard of an install it you wanted to do it your self, i think the hardest part would be pressing the bearings onto the alxes. i had some trouble geting the T/A to fit, but that just might have been in my case.

I believe the warranty would be thru the builder (strange, currie,,etc). Checkout the different manufactures websites for their warranty details. The labor may or may not be covered if the shop is not approved by them. If you have an aftermarket torque arm you will need to make sure that it uses the 2 long bolts and not 4 short ones to mount it to the rearend. Some of the T/A manufacturers will not warranty the T/A if it is mounted using the 4 short bolts. Strange seems to be the most direct bolt in from my experience installing a few different rearends. You should be able to do it yourself like Phoenix said.
