Default Do any sponsors certify cars for inspection for Insurance companies?

Okay, friend is buying a car. Insurance company wants the car certified before they will offer coverage. I'm not sure if the car will pass certification due to it have a check engine light. Any ideas? The check engine is due to the torque converter and the headers. I'll find out for a fact in a few days when I scan the car.

Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Geico wants him to go to Pep Boys for them to inspect it.

The certification there looking for Pepboys does for free, it is only a visual inspection on the condition of the car and any existing damage, takes about 5 minutes and they wont even turn your key on to see any check engin elight.
