Those crazy BBK shorties, thats the only wire I can't keep off the header.
I'm thinking of hitting OSW Friday, and would like to replace this wire again, but can't see much of a point if I'm going to cook it constantly.
Also, try wrapping your headers; that may keep even more of the heat not only out of the engine bay, but gives off less heat onto the spark plug.
Headers are ceramic coated, never gave much thought to wrapping them. Oh well I'm hoping within the next 6 months they are out of there anyway.
I've tried and tried, there just seems no hope. The #6 wire always touches the header. I hate the stock routing and the BBK shorties. When I put my new engine in with the longtubes I have laying around I will also be routing the wires over the valve covers. I really have to thank the GM engineer genius who routed the wires. Oh it only takes 8hrs. to do plugs and wires, compared to 45 minutes it used to take on the 83 z28 I had.
