Default Reputable and knowledgeable mechanics in Orlando?

I'm driving down to Orlando this Tuesday to (hopefully) pick up a beautiful 1978 TA. I've already driven it and it drives great. It's fully documented almost back to the day it was purchased. However, I'm going to have to drive this bitch back to North Carolina and even if it is in great shape - a 30 year old car is a 30 year old car.

I'm not going to fork over my cash dollars unless I get this thing checked out by a GOOD area mechanic who says it'll make the trip. I need to find one before Tuesday though - does anybody have any suggestions?

I'll take a look at it for you if it's on the east side.

I don't know how to explain exactly where the dealership is in Orlando, but the street address is 5634 B Edgewater Drive if anybody knows where that is or wants to mapquest it. Does anybody have any more suggestions? Whistler, I sent you a PM.

Bump

I was thinking of just looking up BBB affiliated mechanics in the area, but I dont know if it's a far-out question to ask if they'd be willing to personally drive over to a dealer to check out a car for some guy in North Carolina. Is that a weird request or has anybody done it before?

I know the area. It must be a really small dealership...ma and pa. Classic Chevrolet is the closest. Not sure if it helps, but they are pretty big. (407) 297-4321

I know the area too and agree that it must be a small dealership. I also agree with the Ken Wells comment from above. He's probably a 15-20 minute drive from the dealership. 407-839-6129

Thanks a lot guys, i really appreciate it. I'll be giving Ken Wells a call and see if he'd be willing to take a look at the car.
