Pretty strict.. I wouldent chance it if you have to drive distance to get there.

Like any track, they pay more attention to faster cars.

From my experience they take a very very quick peek at your engine bay. They pay A LOT more attention to your helmet if you tell them you go faster than a 14.0

When they look in engine bay, do they lift the battery? One track made me ductape it to run there, lol.
So most likely no worries on the drive shaft loop.

They do check the batt and duct take won't cut it. Mostly they just ask if you have a DSSL, if you tell them a brand, like lakewood they normally won't look under the car.

battery is what they look at and if u are running nitorus were u need a blow down tube. As far as a drive shaft loop goes they really dont take the time to look.

I took my car for the first time last month and they asked about a loop. I asked him at what point is one necessary. He said 12s on street tires or 13s on drag radials I think. I showed him it was stock and this was my first time with the car but I had a helmet just in case (t-tops) which he checked and said I didn't need to wear it unless I went 13s. He didn't notice the used MAC headers and it sounds stock at idle so it worked out.

I went 13.3-13.7 w/o helmet or loop and nobody bothered me.

Next time I go I will have a loop.

A driveshaft loop isn't required until 11.49 and faster period. If you run slicks you are required to have one no matter the et. Run drag or street radials and you're good to 11.50.

A helmet is required period on convertibles, or 13.99 and quicker or hardtop or t-top cars (t-tops in place).

Moroso has been strict on me but I don't run there much. They checked EVERYTHING on my car (a whopping 13 second ride) 2 years ago including the loop, helmet, NHRA member #, driver license, etc etc. Maybe things have changed but a helmet doesn't cost much more than $100-150 and it's one of the few things needed to race.

No you don't have to buy a helmet

a) just tell tech it's your first time and you don't know what to run, they put you in sportsman class (with the n00bs)
b) if they get hard on you, you can rent a helmet from the track or borrow one.

I don't have a battery tie down (did these cars even come with them?) but the guy did check the battery and shook it to make sure it would stay in place. Not much else though.

I've never seen them once get on the ground and check for a d/s loop. And if they do tell them its welded to the torque arm or something since there's no way they will be able to see it without jacking it up. I've gone 11.6@125 there and they just handed me my slip like usual.

After worrying bout that stuff, I left my helmet at home! How much is it to rent one?
Is anyone else planning on going tomorrow night? I am on street tires so maybe they will be easy on me.
Is it usually packed? About how many runs?

It just finished raining, might be a wet night...watch the weather. Wednesdays are the least busy. Last time I went I had 6 runs in 2 hours and went home early.
