Props again to Masport
Ha, I haven't driven my car around since January all that much because of a slipping clutch and leaky rear main crank seal.
It took a while to buy/find all the parts but here's what I got.
- Sixspeedsinc stage 4 T-56 w/ larger output shaft
- Textralia Exo-Skel twin disk clutch (Really hard to find!)
- New GM master/slave cylinders
- New rear main seal
Everything got done expertly and at a fair price. Feels good driving around again, but it does suck buying gas again.
Big thanks to Dan and the crew.
Oh, some pics... I lightly grinded my brake calipers yesterday to get this look... What do you guys think?

Hmmm... Stage 4 w/ larger out/in shafts = Stage 5? Same thing, right?
And yeah, those wheels are pimp!
They did not come black; Masport painted the Summit Star rims so that they "scheme" with the black ZR-1's... I'm not a big fan of skinnies on the front.
Yo Josh, thanks again homey... BTW, what happened to SFR?

"Nicey Nice Bird"....I better not line up with that Ragtop! If you're local, you might bring it June 7th to:

Hey Josh, I met you over there at Dyno Dan's just before I got my Tune there. Btw, how's that Killa of yours doin'?
As you know, our local 1/4 mile track is closed for resurfacing til' October. I haven't been there since adding the BBK 80mm for my stock TB. last month. But it has been consistant tho.
Talk soon, Rich

I'm definitely not local, but I'll be on summer vacation from my job (I teach). I think I can make it.
I thought I should share my feedback: This tranny feels exactly like stock to me, but the clutch will chatter if slipped slowly, like any high hp clutch... Actually, it doesn't even chatter as much as my old Spec 3 did. The pedal pressure is LIGHT. I'm pretty sure it's as light as stock, IMO. When you make it grab though, it effin grabs... Watch those RPM slam down, easy to stall driving softly... I'm getting used to it... I came from a Spec that was a bitch as far as pedal pressure, so this is feeling right now to me like a broken clutch or something.

Since it's a Buick/Olds/Pontiac show, I'll be with the Red Formula & my Red '71 Buick GS455. I'm not a big show guy, but they alwaus do it right over there. (Live Music, etc).
Hey DynoDan! Can you make it too? 6-10pm @ Sheehan Pontiac on US1 in Lighthouse Point
