Default Emergency Brake question

Hello all,

So, in the course of doing some routine checks on the car, I began to check the emergency brake. I brought the vehicle up to 30MPH and slowly began to draw back on the handle. There was proficient squeaking, and the car didn't even begin to slow down until the handle was close to 80 degrees (damn near in the up position).

I had one of my fellow recruits check my rear wheels as I applied pressure, and they said that the left rear wheel will lock, and the right will not.

How do I correct this problem?

ls1 brakes use a drum style parking brake, so its nothing like the lt1 style brakes

take the rotor off the offending side, and adjust the pads so the rotor is tough to slide back on.... walla
