Question for you turbo guys
Question for you turbo guys Well, working on a powerstroke, nothing new to me, but i am chasing down a vgt problem, variable geometry turbo, basically it can change the vanes to increase/decrease the speed and boost output by oil pressure and a valve.
anyhow on to my question of less expertise, i belive i am dealing with a exhaust leak, the reason is i have a serious lack of boost, almost like the vgt is stuck which is not totally uncomman, but you can manually change the angle, so i do so and the boost just doesnt change at all. so what im asking is if you have a uppipe leak would it be audible like a exhaust manifold leak? i keep hearing different things, and just wanted to talk to some turbo guys with some experience in the situation im dealing with.
