How much boost will a stock 6.0 handle?

I'll be putting 12-14 lbs on my heads/cam 5.3L, with meth and an intercooler on 93 pump.

Katech rod bolts, ARP head/cam/main bolts, ported/shimmed oil pump, LS2 chain, etc, but still stock GM pistons/rings/rods/crank. We'll see how long it lasts.

The 6.0 iron block which I am switching to this winter with all forged internals should be able to with stand 20lbs. of boost without any issues.At least I hope so.

i would say 2-3psi. less than it had be4 it popped.

Yes, a stock LQ4 will make more power than a stock LS1, this is manly because 1, the heads flow better, have larger chambers, and dished pistons (LQ4, not LQ9), so with a static comp of less than 10.25:1, you can add a bit of boost with more timing. Run 10psi, 12-13psi with meth, and call it a day dude.

BTW - Spend the $350-400 on a turbo profiled cam, it will make a world of difference if you're planning to run the piece of crap that comes in the LQ4.

what about the rods and pistons if that is the case why not put my ported 317 heads on and add boost, but rod bolts and pistons won't hold with meth and 02 zo6 cam. But would the 6.0? say 600 rwhp area?
