Default Cam to big????

Im am working on building a iron block 370ci and i am trying to decide on a cam. When the new motor goes togeather it will have stage II heads w/ 2.055 and 1.60 valves. It will be Lunati Pro billit rods and forged 4.030 pistons, and a stock crank good for runiing 15 lbs of boost.
The cam im looking at is a 232/238 .585/.585 114+3 LSA. Would that be to big for the 370? How about stock heads w/ comp 918's??? Spinning to 6500.
Thanks

I would run the 6.0L heads with that combo, I'm running TEAS 5.7L S2 73cc chamber head on my car...and a 214/218 .540/.550 114lsa cam...

I have a 372c.i. Iron block motor, stock crank, etc....

I'm going to see what it can do on this combo and might upgrade to something along the lines of what you are thinking about, I think the specs of that cam will be ok....

But get ready to have a nightmare trying to get the boost....my car is in Z9's shop right now to get some fabbing done to my D-1SC bracket...

I would open up the LSA to 116 and cut 5 degrees on both the intake and exhaust duration.

I would go bigger on the cam myself but that looks pretty good.

What rpm are you planning to shift? Where do you want the power to peak?

I am wanting power to peak at around 6600-6800.
I have a set of core 5.7 heads laying around and i plan on running between 8.5.1 - 9.1 for compression. It will be forged dished pistons and Lunati Pro Billit rods, ARP L19 rod bolts, and heads studs. I will be like you BIGOS and run a stock crank unless i can get a good deal on a 4' crank. Would spinning to 6800 be to high?? thanks again guys. I plan on calling Comp and asking them also.

You should be fine at that rpm.

With those cubes I think a 230/24X 114LSA cam would work well and have decent driveability.
