First off, if your wife has no experience with a stroker SC car, she really should not be driving one. I don't mean to sound harsh, but it is way too easy for the car to get away from a you, but you sideways, and right into a telephone pole or another car.
Both of the cam you listed would make good racing cams. For a street car I would do some like 220/226//578/588//116 or 117. It will still make some good power, it would start to engage at a lower RPM, and the lope will much less.

Off topic, I'm putting together a 403ci LS2 to be run with a T-Trim and am thinking along the same lines as you regarding the camshaft. What type of car are you putting this in?
The T-trim is Vortech's 1200cfm blower and on a 400+CI LSx motor with good heads you'll most likely only see around 12lbs depending on the efficiency of the motor. I say with this centri blower setup I would cam the motor small (high 220's, low 230's on a 110-112LSA. With the 408ci motor you'll have a slight idle but nothing drastic at all, almost a sleeper effect. You'll have great low end TQ and once in boost it will pull like crazy. However if you want to soften the low end grunt you could always go a little bigger on the duration, but driveability will suffer. Let the blower/heads make the power, the biggest cam doesn't always make you faster

IF you really want this thing to be a screamer, raise the compression ratio a full point, install a FMIC, with a 100% meth kit.
What tranny you plan on running?
How high would you like to spin this on a regular basis?
Jim
PS Btw the max boost I've seen is right around blower redline, 12.87 after the big FMIC and throttle. I bet the 408 with the right cam will max out between 11 and 12.5#.
