Default Crankcase scavenging mandatory?

How bad is it if I don't fiddle around and install a crankcase evacuation system on my TT Z06 (drysump FYI)

Can we understand the advantages vs disadvantages (basically the consequences of not having a crankcase evacuation system)

Please speak in english, cause this sounds like chinese to me

PS. disregard the title I meant evacuation.

I agree, there is going to be a lot of pressure in there, rear main seal, front timing cover, etc will all more than likely become leakers. Bob

If you are making big power, a scavenging system is a must. Just breathers are fine for the 600 to 700 rwhp range. Anything more than that the block is start to have more pressure than what breathers can release. Remember the breather is a filter and a restriction.

my previous 620rwhp SC C6 Z06 ran fine for about 15,000miles of HARD driving with no issues, until it crashed into a wall

Sorry am really clueless about this, but how do I know when I need a better crankcase evac. system? Does looking at how much vaccum the car makes at idle, partial throttle answer this question perhaps?

If I was doing a "427 Warhawk + TTiX @ 15+ PSI boost", I would do a scavenging system without a second thought.

I understand, but how does one assess how good is his crankcase evac system working, does a boost gauge tell anything?

You can hook up a vacuum/boost gauge to one of the nipples on the valvecover.

When you are WOT if you see any boost in there, then you have a problem.

I have hooked up both of my valvecovers to a catchcan, then to the turbo intake.

So when the car goes WOT it pulls vacuum from the valvecovers.
