Turbo or Supercharger for Stroker
I won some money at the casino and have decided to go the forced induction route and start making some serious power. At this point I know nothing about Turbos, and very little about Superchargers, so here we go,
I am rebuilding my 382 LS6 with a new stroke of 4.125, making it a 394. Also, I have picked up a set of ported LQ9 heads to lower my compression to around 9:1. I would like to run 15+ psi or whatever is the highest I can safely. The bottom end is as near bullit proof as you can get, what else do I need to worry about.
My car is a 1998 Camaro SS,m6 with all the necessary upgrades to handle loads of power so I really want to go as all out as I can.
What is easier to install, which has less problems,
If turbos are the way to go, single or twin?
Who makes the best turbo kits/ supercharger kits?
Who can help me make an educated cam choice,
I put down about 480 rwhp with my 382 and am looking fo 650++ from this new motor, any info and advice you could give me would be great. I am looking to spend at most 6500 on a setup so that may be a limiting factor.

Re: Turbo or Supercharger for Stroker
For 650RWHP go FAST system with built in wideband, big injectors and a BIG fuel system.
Headstuds, nitrous/blower gaskets, mainstuds and all that good stuff. I don't think you have a hope of doing it within a 6500 budget though.
Might want to stay NA and spray a TNT F2 kit with 200 shot. All you'll need then is a good fuel system and LS1 edit tune.
Should be able to make close to 500RWHP NA with good heads/cam on the 396. 650RWHP should be a fairly safe bet on a 200 shot.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

I'd really think twice about running a 4.125 stroke.
You need to talk to a FI expert about what choices you have in terms of rods (rod length) and piston size.
John
9.1:1 LS6 motor
6.0 heads (69cc)
3.622 stroke
-8.6cc Diamond pistons
6.125 Eagle rods
