LS9 Supercharged ZR1 cam
I just down loaded the 2009 GMPP catalog and the ZR1's LS9 supercharged engine is an available crate engine. They list the cam part number as 12605527. It comes up at GMPD for $96.09 with a list of only $162.
As long as the part number is right this is a great low buck cam upgrade for anyone wanting to run a turbo or supercharger on an LSx motor. Even if the price was more in line with the LS6 cam it would still be a great deal.
They list the specs as .562"/.558" and 211*/230* @ 0.050"
An LQ4 turbo motor with this cam should get you close to 620 hp with only 10 psi boost like the ZR1 runs. At 15 psi you could be right at 900 hp if things hold together.

Do they list the lsa.. This is very similar to the cam I have and to the z06 cams from like 05. not really much change their .Is that spec with 1.7 or 1.8 rocker arms.
Here is comparison to my gt7 lingenfelter and stock 06. Look pretty close to that one.

The cam has pretty much zero lope. It is around 590 lift and a bit more degrees on duration with the 1.8 yella terras I run in my build. Figured still low enough on lift to not kill springs or give problems under boost with valve float. I have the afr 8019 springs good for 650 lift.
The zr1 and z06 cams are pretty cheap.I don't know if my ling which are build by comp have much different ramp rates and stuff than stock. Specs don't always give the whole story.I did see a cam card and my cam is compatible is 1.8 rockers.

Im not 100% sure but i know that you cant put an LS7 cam in "older" LSX motors since they are bolted in by ONE bolt instead of 3 bolts like the older style cams. Also the newer motors/cams have that cam sensor in the front of the engine/timing cover which affects things as well. How do you get around all that again? I called lingenfelter one time and asked them about an LS7 cam they had for sale but they told me it wasnt going to work someone chime in and shine some light on this, TIA!!!

The spec's listed in the original post were the only things in the LS9 crate engine tech specs in the 2009 GMPP catalog.
It isn't listed in the LS series camshaft section yet.
The LS9 is a 6.2 liter LS3 based motor so I am betting the cam will fit into the gen-III engines unlike the LS7 cam.

the LS6 cam is usually the best bang for the buck stock LS cam for these engines. Its use is so general that everyone likes it. It idles just like stock so others cant really tell its there and its good for supercharged, turbocharged or nitrous applications. Its not a perfect cam(that will all depend on each and every setup since every car is different), but its definitely a good all around choice for the budget minded street guys who want something that is proven.

ok. so if i do a turbo. and run the LS9 cam.
what springs? will the C5 Zo6 be fine? or should i buy better? what about new ls9 springs? doing home made turbo kit on bro car. so what springs and rods and lifters for this cam.

I have a cam from a 2008 zo6 427 it has 3 bolts with no cam sensor trigger, its on the front timming gear(ls2 type) it has 216/230 and 594/598 lift with 1.8 rockers, on a 120 LSA, I was going to use it in my 365 turbo, but I would have had to change my front timming cover to get the sensor set up. I have a 2 peice cover and didn't want to change it out. I went with the 02 zo6 cam with 1.8 lifters 204/218 582/582, anybody want the 08 cam? pm me

You guys are much better off getting a custom ground or correct sized cam than use one of these gm cams just because they exist or save you $200. You'll spend $10k on building the motor/turbo setup than skimp and put a generic camshaft in that will make sub-par results ?
