Default HELP: OverBoosting!! Not sure why??

I can not seem to get my boost under control. I thought my GReddy EBC fluked out and it was defaulting to my Tial Sport springs and was thinking that perhaps they were high psi springs. I normally run about 10psi on pump with 9:1 compression but right now I"m spiking to 15+ in 2nd gear low RPM at WOT. I ran my vaccum from the turbo compressor housing direct to the center tip of the waste-gate, side port I have blocked off (one that normally goes to my EBC) just to experiment and see how much boost my springs were producing.

I then took the waste-gate covers off and found a large blue coil on the LH side and a bit smaller red coil on the RH side. I would think they should be the same but I"m no turbo expert. Then I proceeded to cut the springs in half to reduce the tension to try to get a change in the boost levels and much to my dismay, it did not seem to change anything when I test drove it again. What can I do to troubleshoot from here or did I just need to replace the waste-gates or the internal diaphrams? Thanks for your help.

Your boost ref from the turbo should go to the side port on the waste gate not the top, you are in effect holding the gate shut with boost pressure on the top port therefore overboosting

Awesome thanks let me try that, did I just leave the top port open or do I block it off?

If your just running off the wastegate spring, leave the top port open.

If useing an electronic boost controller, connect this to the top port.
