Am I alone in hidden charge from APSshippment
If i would have known it was as much as it was i would have refused the package and let APS eat it because i paid them almost close to $100 for shipping alone if im correct Im just wondering if i should just blow UPS off or pay it APS should have said something before hand to on this hidden charge!!just wondering if im alone and if UPS can even do anything if i blow them off
i paid paypal'd him for the items and to ship them to me. when ups delivered them to me they hit me up on a $55.00 customs charge. luckily i got the seller to split the charge with me. from now on i buy from within the states.

Next time some Company offers free shipping to USA, thats where my Packages will go, and I will go pick them up !!!
We've brought in plenty of shipments from APS, no customs charges have been given to us
I wouldn't necessarily call UPS crooks, they did give me a way to "modify" the billing for cross border fees. Something Fed ex doesn't offer. PM me if you want more information.
Anything from the states (depending on what value the seller lists it as) is charged 13% tax when it crosses the border plus a $5 handling fee.
However, sometimes (again depending what is written on the box) of if customs is feeling good that day, sometimes things pass through without getting any fees. But for 90% of the packaged I get, it is taxed, so I always assume when I buy something from a different country that there will be fees.

Fedex pretty sure only charges gst to canada and not provincial at least to me in my province. UPS does not charge pst only gst. GST is national sales tax.
Canada post when it comes from USPS seems to be more sporadic sometimes charging pst and gst l,sometimes they seem to mess up.
The only way to win with UPS is to get multiple or bigger items. The brokerage is pretty much limited to 80 bucks I think the ups guy explained. Also if its small and light if you get it ups express which costs more than they don't charge brokerage just the gst I think.
