roots blower on T/A
roots blower on T/A hey guys this is a thread for my friend. he's wanting to do a roots blower instead of a procharger or vortec supercharger. im not sure of where he can find one cheap and what brands make roots blowers for ls1's. i was into mustangs before my t/a so i know mustang supercharger name brands but with my ls1 im wanting to go turbo anyway. but he's set on roots so please let me know what all there is. also what's the most power a stock bottom end will hold? he's at 520rwhp and 620 on juice. so idk how much more that motor can take...
are you looking for an old school blower then sticks out of the hood or something like a kenny bell. bds makes a nice kit but your going to have to run a hat and everything.
MTI makes a kit, and LMSpeed makes one (I think thats right) honestly though, the only positive displacement superchargers that fit so far on these cars is the Eaton M112, which runs out of steam at 600rwhp...with the N2O he is already beyond the capabilities of these setups. If he wants a supercharger, an ATI Procharger is probably the way to go. Many of our vendors sell them, however Exotic Performance Plus has shown to be very knowledgeable, active, and helpful on these forums. Have your friend give them a call and talk to them about what his plans are, they will steer him right.
