Paging Black LS1 T/A
I haven't talked to them. I guess I should call them this week. I'm playing around with the idea of a cog setup. And I found out why (at least I think it's why), successive steps down to smaller pulleys has only ended up in minimal boost increase, snapped belts and bolt backing out: When I put an aluminum idler back on, I saw the edge of it deformed. I took the aluminum bracket off and saw it had been gouged. It is possible I simply didn't tighten the idler down as much as it should have been, once or twice, and didn't realize it. But with reports of this bracket plate flexing under high torque/high boost situations, I'm uncomfortable about it.
At minimum, I'm at least concerned it's damaged enough to need another one so it positions correctly (no contact at idle looking from underneath, but who knows what happens at 6500 RPMs at 750+ RWTQ and a madly spinning blower).

I began to suspect this more when I was driving along a deserted side-road and punched it (windows down) and heard the belt snap. It was almost like it snagged something... not just from being tight (which it was).
Oh, well...
