What size tire are you going to use??? If it is going to be a 28 or smaller i would consider a 3 spead. A 2.56 first gear with a 350 turbo means you could run up two like a 3.08 to 3.23 rear gear. with a larger than 28 i would use a powe glide with a 1.80 first and 3.73 or 3.55 gears . The tire size is what i would use to figure out the tranny. I will tell you that with a 4L60 or 4L80 even with a 30 inch tire you will never hook it with 900 hp. This is somthing a buddy of mine did is used a promod glide with a gear vender . when you have 900 hp you dont need gear to get you going. With the tight *** convertor and tall tires equals decent highway speeds. I ran around for a few years with a glide 3.73s and 1087 hp to the wheels and it was a blast.

Nope, the 2.75's improved them over the 3.50 gear I use to have. Best of 1.48 on a 26" tire and stock suspension (literally stock with 80k miles)
