how much boost how much boost is safe for a stock ls1 block and internals i have either a twin turbo set up off a eagle talon to put on or a single garret turb0 off a power stroke either shall work right with the boost adjusted correctly i have never turboed anything just messed with diesel turbos but want to turbo my ls1 just something until i finish building my other motor. where do i find manifolds for it and is there anyone who can let me know what i need to set this up all i have is the turbos as of now
There is no set boost level. A lot depends on your set up, tuning, intercooler, timing, and fuel system. I would probably not recommend running a turbo off a powerstroke on a LS1 it might work but a diesel turbo is not made with the same application in mind. As for a twin turbo Talon that is probably not a good set up for a LS1 since your talking about a large engine that moves a lot of air even a T25 or a 16G that would be a mid size single turbo set up on a 4G63 would be way to small on a LS1.
