Yes, it's considerably further out than an 8rib setup. The whole assembly was purpose built for the cog drive.

Oh okay cool... dream crushed!

that looks bad ass!! how much for the bracket and cog set up??

I'll check on the price for the cog setup-that one is pricey due to the fact we used a sprag pulley on the s/c

Camaro Ken 02-16-2009 12:22 PM

Can I order that j-bracket with 6-rib pulleys?

Probably, but with a 6 rib you'll slip way before the bracket flexing becomes an issue.

I ordered the bracket last week. I asked if he had the standoffs and he said he just sold the bracket. I didn't ask about pulleys, but I am guessing he just does the bracket for existing users who have everything already?

I called True Tech last year to order one, and they didn't have any made at the time. They took down my info so they could call me once they had a new batch made up, apparently they never made any as they never called... lol I'd be curious to see if it helps. Bob

I swapped out the aluminum for the trutech bracket, picked up 2-3 pounds of boost as shown on the gauge, im assuming from less flex and thereby less belt slip.

FWIW, a nice brace from the block to the J bracket will pretty much eliminate flex. Its cheap too.

Any pics or ideas on this?

Just wondering if this was still available for a 10 rib belt driving an F1R? Do you make a 10 rib pulley that bolts onto the crank pulley (ATI crank pulley). Thanks

so is the steel bracke treally that much better than the stock procharger bracket? stock procharger is cast right? or am i thinking about vortech?
cant rmember right now:chug:

No the stock Procharger bracket is machined out of a .75" thick piece of aluminum plate, definitely not cast.

NemeSS 04-02-2010 04:15 PM

thats what i thought. i must be thinking vortech. remember seeing a cast bracket on a c5

Damn that last pic with the cog set up looks sweet! Anyone know how much that will cost? Also if I only plan on running 9-10 psi, will 6/8 rib pulleys and an alum J bracket suffice?

blue00ZZleeper 04-02-2010 05:26 PM

Yea jason. For your goals a standard J-Bracket in a 8rib setup will be fine. I wouldnt run a 6 rib setup though.

Dang, I have all 6 rib pulleys.

Plus my J-bracket has the Chevy Chad mod where one of the stand offs is milled down to include an extra pulley for more belt wrap around the head unit pulley. I wonder if that will make using a 6 rib system acceptable?

blue00ZZleeper 04-02-2010 05:33 PM

Maybe. Could an 8 rib belt still fit under the pulley? What about swapping off the pulley for a thicker one? I have a couple 8 rib blower pullies if your in need. I have a 4.15,4.00 and the 3.7 thats on my blower now will be off soon. I also have a 3.70 in 6rib. I would try to figure out an 8rib setup.
