Default Going to the track soon & have some questions.

I have a Turbonetics manual boost controler and was wondering how many turns = 1 pound or an estimate. I have a JGS 50mm wastegate, have their lightest spring in which is supposed to make around 7 psi but its looking like its making about 5.

I have a 6 speed and a 2 step and was wondering what RPM you M6 guys were setting your 2 step to.

Also if you have any other first time boosted advice I'll gladly take it.

Thanks.

I've found unless you have something grippier than DR's the 2 step is usless. I had to bump mine down to 2k to keep from blowing the tires off and at that RPM is wasn't helping anyway. Boost 1st gear and Nitto's just didn't seem to work. I'm gonna try MT streets this year.

Don't know about the boost controller.

Thanks, I have Hoosier DOT QTP's. I have hit them with a 150 shot at 6k, if the track is there it would usually bite, it would bog on motor most of the time. I know nothing about how the tires will react to a turbo though.

Test and tune is the best way. I have no two step and my run was on street tires. i left a 3k dragging they clutch floored it spun alot but second gear she hook like a ****. Six speeds are fun lol! I see you have the mad man suspension you should hook dam good since turbos are alittle softer than n02 I say start around 4k and work from that.

Have you tried the 2-step in the driveway to see how much boost it makes at different rpms?
I would start with no 2-step at 4,000 rpm and launch to see what the car is going to do. After that, try programming in the 2-step to launch with say 2 psi to see what the car is going to do.
Proceed from there untill you find a sweet spot.
Good luck!
