Stock ls1- low boost what are the LIMITS?
I know a small ammount about turbos, but not enough to narrow it down to brands/type/size. I've done a few searches on here for stock builds but havent found exactly what I'm looking for. hopefully this thread can combine and answer a lot of questions.
Goals-
-Keep the stock 99 vette ls1 internally the same(I have an ls6 cam/springs which I've heard are good for boost) with all accessories and be able to more or less drive it daily. Once the car is finished i'm driving the heck out of it rain or shine. I put all this money into it and want to enjoy it! No trailor queen stuff for me.
-I'd like to add atleast 100hp to stock( or as much as I can safely)
-The cheaper the better. I'm a forum/ebay connosaur so I will mostly be using used parts and building alot of the piping myself.
HOW DO I GET THERE? sO MANY OPTIONS
-honestly I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the possible combinations. I wish someone would just say HERE- what you need or similar options.
-I know I need a set of manifolds, turbo( THinking 60-70mm but open to suggestions on type/ recommended brands and so on) wastegate to regulate
the boost down( again no idea on size/brand) and thats about all I think I need besides building the piping and intercooling.
- Will my fuel system hold up? I've got an electric in tank pump from my 1000cfm edelbrock pro flo set up ( not sure of gph- will find out) and will my stock injectors/rails be ok, or would it be a lot safer to replace them with higher flowing units? (AGAIN- sizes/brands would be appreciated)
- Do I need a blow off valve? I know it makes the cool noise, but do I really need to vent the pressure on the intake side?
I think thats it- If I missed anything please chime in. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR TIME! Really appreciate it.

http://www.montecarloss.com/communit...338#Post633338 Heres my build
stock rails fine
mp t70
tial 44mm wastegate
bov (I like ssqv)
wideband
FMIC
piping
flanges
then another 2-300 for nickel/dime ****.
thats about the cheapest route. you could get 500whp no problem, stay safe on the tune, and drive the **** out of it.
