? QUESTION ABOUT VENTING WASTGATE TO ATMOSPHERE. I had to pull my crossover off my car to fix a few small exhaust leaks. Well I thought i`d try venting the wastgate to atmosphere so I made a block off plate for the exhaust pipe and repositioned the wastgate so its blowing the exhaust at the ground. well my butt dyno says it pulls a little harder up top but not much. other then being really loud is there any pros or cons to doing this don`t want to mess anything up.

But IMO, it doesn't sound very good.

I made four, 3rd gear runs up to redline. previously I could not get past 385gm/sec on the MAF. today All four runs were above 425gm/sec with the third run being the highest at 442gm/sec. So i guess that moving the wastegate was a good idea, If i can handle the noise.
