Definitely different! How much power are you planning for?

dudeman 03-26-2009 06:00 PM

those look like mustang shorty headers? i had thought about using them but i want to keep the ac. that's awesome.

lewroe 03-26-2009 06:03 PM

I'll be happy with 700hp, but it should be good for 850. 70mm turbo, built motor

they are mustang shorty headers.

dudeman 03-27-2009 11:37 PM

what engine combo? that car is going to fly!!!

98Camarod 03-28-2009 09:31 AM

Subscribing for the build. Looks good so far, I'm curious about the headers as well.

lewroe 03-28-2009 11:50 AM

the headers are ford 302 headers with flanges swapped. I have a spare set of mac headers(used but nicer than mine) if anyone else wants to do a setup like this....$100 plus shipping

engine is an iron block bored to 3.91 with forgd internals ls6 heads, turbo cam.

Ive been told by the shop to do the cage right I would have to cut the roof and reweld it back on. Is this true? kinda scary.

turbo system almost done.

dudeman 03-31-2009 11:00 PM

wow! i think that car is going to be scary fast! what does it way? 2700lbs?

whats your location?

Juicemonkey 04-12-2009 01:37 PM

there are plenty of 240sx with cages where the roof dont have to be cut. trust me on that one. I think a co called agency power makes a cage for our cars, I was going to by one too.

lewroe 04-12-2009 02:24 PM

the cage is in, no cutting or holes in the floor. they tacked the hoop & halo, then leaned it forward to weld it.

looks great , I'llpost pics soon.

not so sure what it will weigh, but it wont be much, its gutted except for dash and door panels.

JAX04 04-12-2009 05:39 PM

lewroe 04-13-2009 07:29 PM
