You have to cut and trim the radiator hold down and the radiator brackets that aps sent. plus you have to grind a portion of the ron davis right under the top of the intercooler....................I didn't have any trouble with the wp clearance.

It's really not that bad, just plan on that portion taking a couple hours............everything is good until you get to the step where you mount the radiator hold down and support brackets.

You can't get rid of the aps air tunnel completly because that is what holds in the hood latch, but we can cut a portion of it out.

Please post pics of it when you're done, I'm likely doing the same thing.

It will be a week or so before I get that part sorted out...............I'm taking it to our local shop to finish the rest, but they are swamped right now.

When I cut out the middle of the APS peice, I have to figure out a way to brace it...........It feels a little loose right now becaues it was supposed to bolt to the factory bumper support. I am thinking of running some support rods down to where the factory air dam bolts to.

looking at pictures number 3 what if you brought a rod right across there and hook that to the aps tunnel

yeah either that or weld a tab onto the bumper support and have a rod bolted to that.....just something to make it a little more stable. I will probably cut the aps tunnel out to about an inch from either outside bolt hole and secure it on either side using the two remaining holes

If we had one we could set it up. Unfortunately we do not. I am willing to work with you on this.

Does the bumper support also work on the LT1 formulas?

not sure about the lt1 formulas.........I'm sure if they don't they are working on it.

Steve,

when we figure out how to secure the tunnel to the bumper support, I will take some pics and give you some measurements, so that If you have a customer with the APS setup they can get the same thing done to their support........................right now, we are trying to get the cars done at the speed shop so they can get on the track before the season really gets fired up. I'm kinda at the back of the list right now, but it's still early.

We finally got to work on the car and everything is running and ready for the dyno. I wanted to show a few pics of what we did with the bumper support and the APS air tunnel.

What we did was very simple and it braced the air tunnel very well. I was a little worried about that because the hood latches to it, but this worked out very well.

We cut a section of the air tunnel out 4'' from the sides and 7'' from the bottom. Then we got a sheet of 1/8th inch alum and covered the top of the bumper support...........I think this will help to direct the air into the intercooler plus it braces the hood latch very well.

Got the car tuned last night

8 psi
15 degrees of timing
IAT 85 after three back to back pulls
AFR 11.9

12 bolt
Torque converter unlocked

483 hp
470 tq

Mustang dyno

We may richen it up a little and put a couple more degrees of timing in it.

Just out of curiosity, does the front bumper support have provisions for the fogs for T/As?

Just curious how come you didnt just cut out a retangle
opening in front of the trans cooler rather than going the
swiss cheese route?

can you still mount your A/C condensor to the radiator our the bumper support? Would this give more clearance for the larger prochargers since it moves the radiator forward?
