Default Things to do before going to dyno?

I'm finishing up some things and I should be ready for the dyno soon. I have never had a dyno tune done before, just mail order tunes. I would like to know if there is anything I should do or check to get my car ready for the dyno? I just don't want to haul my car to the tuner and have problems. How long does the typical dyno tune take? Also I'm shooting for 500 hp, and right now I have a 5 psi wastegate spring installed, should I buy and take other wastegate springs with me?

it'll prolly take a while, depending on your setup and what os your gonna run ( sd of maf) i know when i tune (only my own and friends cars) i like to carry a set of spark plugs pull the ones in the car to check them after we start power pulls. you might look into getting a manual boost controller rather than having multiple wg springs.

hopefully a for real tuner will give you some more info good luck, post results

Edit: gap em tight, mine are .028

X2 on the spark plugs I had to change mine on the dyno after 2-3 pulls. Mail order was very rich.

I like to take extra plugs and fluids. make sure the car runs and doesn't over heat or have any leaks. Where are you taking it to get tuned? I'm not far away and looking for a turbo tuner also.

I'm thinking about going to Backstreet Performance in Medina, OH. It is about 2 hours away from me, and about the only place I could find near by. I'm going to rent a U-haul trailer and haul my car there.

I'm going to run a MAF, so I'm assuming it will take less time to tune then an SD tune. How long are we talking though? Will it take days or hours? Oh, also about the boost controller, How many of you are running boost controllers or just running off the wastegate spring?

take your time with the car dont rush it

fire it up let it run. check for leaks double triple check for leaks

make sure all belts hose's are clear not gonna hit anything

just double and triple check everything..fuel lines fittings oil lines...

if something dont seem right better to call and get a differnt dyno tune date..better to be safe then to have something major happen cause you rushed it..
