Things to look at. Some superchargers are made to run one direction. Clockwise or counter clock. Air outlet might be a different shape or location. These are just general concerns.

The mod motor cars use a reverse rotation head unit like on the LSX.

I just went through this... got a P1SC last year too quickly, now I'm looking at having to upgrade the head unit. You should consider holding off for a D1SC to begin with. You won't have to spin the blower as hard to make the power and you'll have much room to grow down the road.

almost all the mustang head units also have a 90 degree bend off the end of the outlet. I think the modular motor ones are the only ones that are reverse rotation. The fox body ones are standard and wont work

If you havent made 650-700 rwhp through a m6, then you havent maxed out the p1sc.

I see alot of people upgrading to d1sc's when they dont need to on setups that will never see 600 rwhp.

That may be, but my P1SC didn't like the idea of being pushed to the max. Bearing on my impeller shaft just puked on the dyno from RPM. I was using the 7.625 ATI crank with a 3.4 HU pulley so it wasn't over spinning the blower per ATI, but was at the max. The cage on one of the bearings fell apart anyway, which took out the impeller, scoring up the housing, and breaking teeth off the impeller shaft gear.

All I was saying is you won't have to max out a D1SC to make the power, which should mean the blower will run cooler and last longer. Maybe mine was just a bad apple.

You are right though a lot depends on the OP's goals for his car. How far do you want to go JJustin?
