Well we finally got the car on the road after a long 12 month wait and i can say i am very happy for the most part. There are still a few bugs to work out but after the first 200 miles the transmission is starting to shift a lot smoother and the new converter is great.

The 60 trim has nearly no lag and pulls harder then i expected. It is exceptional in the middle of the power band and is surprisingly a little loud even at only 7 pounds.

The car was running great but it is now throwing a MAF code that has me a little on the worried side. She is still running the stock MAF. The car is running very rich as well but i think this may be directly related to the MAF issue. Im not sure where to go from here. I had planned on putting the car on they dyno again for a little more aggressive tune but if the MAF is going should i just switch over to SD or just replace the stock unit and have the car returned.

what were your maf counts during the tune? your tuner should have this info that would help to know if you really need to change to SD but I think 7lbs (what size turbo) should be ok on the stock maf

Just a baby 60 trim spiking at 8psi then holding 7 we do plan on running a little more when we go back early next week once we get this issue corrected. Sorry for the noob question but what are MAF counts?

wow, i ran a 60 trim on my little v6s, that thing has to be at full boost by 2000rpm on that thing! You should clean the maf with some cleaner and see if that helps. Throw it on the dyno and get it tuned in, probably something very simple. A SD tune would be better if you ever plan to upgrade though

Yeah but there is not a hole lot to see. The turbo is tucked down under the ABS and all the crap on the driver side of the engine bay. I will load a few pics of the under side some time this weekend.

I keep forgeting to ask if any one has had low oil presure after building there cam/turbo set up. My oil pressure stills holds above the red zone but only by a little at idle. Once you are above 1100RPM's it jumps right back up to around 40 psi.

thanks, I would just like to see how that log manifold on the drivers side looks when it's all installed and how everything sits on that side.

also, my oil pressure is 40psi @ idle, and 60-80 when getting on it

It was the MAF. Replaced with a OEM and the car is running strong again but the 60 trim is falling on its face around 5400.

I will post up dyno sheets when i can get close to a scaner but the car went 451 WHP and 508 WTQ running 7 psi off the waste gate.

Did you get the low oil pressure problem figured out?

Any plans to step up to a bit larger turbo? Those numbers are better then I thought they would be for 7lbs with such a small turbo, I bet the throttle response is very snappy.

Oil pressure holds right at 25-30 then jumps up to around 40-50 under even a light load. We did note a small drop in fuel pressure as well. Under WOT fuel pressure drops about 5psi from around 60 to 55 then recovers to just over 60. AFR was 11.5. The highest we took the engine was around 6400 but we are shifting well under that since it takes us well out of our power band.
