Default turbo build help

hey guys im new to the turbo thing but in the process of starting a turbo build what i am wantin to go with is a truck manifold kit with a tc 78 turbo. my goal is to make a little over 800 or go mid to low 9's on race gas. I had plans to do a built ls2 with some 6L heads with around a 9:1 compression but the more ive looked into it its starting to sound like im goin to run into backpressure problems with that setup from what a few has said at that power level . Ive also been told i would be better off shooting for that power level with a built 347 with that turbo because it wont have as much backpressure problems and will be capable of making more horsepower. i guess what im asking is from any of yall with first hand experience which way will be the smartest way to go to acheive my goal and be most efficient cause i dont want to be stress my turbos efficiency if i dont have to.... another thing is if i need a good set of heads like afr or trick flow to achieve my goal with either setup i will do it just tryin to c which route will be best for me to go with. sorry so long just want some good info before i start build.

any help is appreciated....

the ls2 is only a few more cubic inches than the ls1 using the stock crank, so I would go with whatever block you have or find first.

You can get a lot of power out of the 6,0 heads but what is true with a n/a engine is true with a f/i engine. Better heads = more power.

i will probably most likely go with good heads but really concerned about backpressure any info on that would b great
