nitrous and a vortech
this is what i need to know, I am building a 408 9-1 cr with a l92 heads with a vortech v3 t trim with about 10 psi . Could i use thenitrous to cool the intake temp when running at the track since its allready in the car . Good ideal , or bad ideal ?

Good idea if you tune it safe and with the nitrous in mind. Or better yet have two tunes, one for with the squeeze and one regular. Using both without a well thought out plan puts you too close to grenade action too quickly by reducing your safety margins.

Is the tune going to be MAF or MAP based? The down side to using N2O to cool the intake charge is having the tune dependant on that. A MAP based tune will help a lot when N2O is not being used, but the car will run richer when N2O is not in use. As said, the tune is pretty important because mixing power adders multiplies their affect. At 25hp shot of nitrous will actually add more than 25hp....
