Plastic Hat Broke On my way out tonight, I heard a banging from under the car. I stopped and saw that the plastic in-take (hat) broke and hanging. I read a post about this somewhere, so I know this is common -- did a search and couldn't find anything. Does anyone know what to do? Go back with the ATI, which was purchased about a year ago or is there one better???

Might have been my post, I did the same thing like a month ago. And my kit is right at a year old too. I ordered the ati hat ($125!!!! 
) and it has been fine since. The new one did appear to be a different material, seemed like it wasn't as brittle as the original. Thickness and shape appeared to be the same. I could see a spot where it was rubbing the fan shroud some, so I angled it away more, and I also cleaned the filter so the vacuum inside wasn't as strong. It was DIRTY 
. Picked up a couple psi too...

Today, I called ATI and explained that I heard this is happening a lot; he said that it wasn't a common problem, but he would give it to me for half price.
