If i remember the stall speed is extremely important to match with the turbo some how.
I think you need to install your kit and see where it boosts at.
I'd call whoever did your kit/turbo/motor if you want there answer.
There are guys that can help you out on here theo.

ESPECIALLY with a big power setup like that, you don't just go on a website(ie: summit) and pick out some off the shelf converter. That's for old men with crate 350 motors.

You need to call up Coan, Neil Chance, ATI, etc, and tell them what you have. Engine, turbo, estimated power/torque since you don't have engine dyno #'s available, weight, rear end gear, etc.

Otherwise you could be leaving a TON of power on the table when some junk converter you buy slips too much.

Get ahold of PTC for a custom converter. I had a TCI HD race converter, that was spitting out 37% slip, went to a custom PTC turbo converter, and we are less then 4% slip first time out of the box. It is a careful balance between stall and locking with a turbo car, you need it to spool, but not excessively slip on the big end. Mine is real tight because it was built for a transbrake and the 3.0 gear.
There are many factors they will go over with you when you custom order a converter. C.I., cam specs, turbo size, rpm range etc...
Expect to pay around $950 for a PTC, which is a bargain, it is a bit more for a Neal Chance, which is another awesome converter.

I second PTC. My converter stalls to 3600 on the trans brake with no boost but drives around like a 2800 rpm converter, it's like having your cake and eating it too. For $950 they are absolutely amazing. A Neil Chance converter can offer you the same drivability and performance but you are looking at $1700.

I vote FTI. Call Greg. They are a sponsor on here and their contact info can be located in the sponsor sales section. He will get you close enough on the first go around and restall it for free once it's all built and you make some shake down passes to get a better idea if you want tighter or looser. One converter will not fit all even to the point of one converter will not fit all boost levels in the same car. It may be perferct at first on 10 psi when you are working the bugs out but you could blow right thru it at 20 psi.

I have a Neal Chance Bolt together 3600. With a bolt together you just buy a new stater if you don't like how it's working. Unbolt the cover of the converter and install the stater which makes it like a totally different converter.

I say look into Yank converters as well. Thats what Mighty mouse is running and his setup seems to work good enough to run 8's and win the street class lsx shootout 2 years in a row.
