FMIC cooling
FMIC cooling Hey guys, I am custom fabricating a FMIC setup retaining the fog lights. I am also using a 4" core which is making it a bit more difficult and not much room to work with. I am also not hacking out the entire mid section of the bumper support. I have got it to where the intercooler slides up in there and is higher than the K-member so its never going to drag. My question is am I going to have any flow issues due to not running that plastic piece that goes in between the condensor and the bumper?
This is where the intercooler will sit, notice the fog light locations are still intact and will not interfere with performance whatsoever.
This is from the topside. The hood latch will not interfere with anything.
This is how tight the intercooler fits in there. Its tight as hell, but it can be made fit. The reflection is off the intercooler, its been polished to near mirror finish. Thanks ebay!
This is a close up shot of where the foglights bolt up. That cut line is damn close to those bolt locations, but it works!
Drivers side top shot, I'm telling you this is really tight. I a. going to put some rubber striping on the edges, its going to be hella snug in there, but again, it fits!
This is from the engine bay looking at the backside of the intercooler. Everything looks really good, only concern is if I am going to have adequate cooling to the condensor and the radiator. I think it should be just fine but time will tell.
