I was just stating what rpm I hit leaving a stop light normally and he was saying it shouldn't hit boost under those conditions...
For a nice DD-able setup thats simple, cheap (relatively speaking) and effective, go with a stock crank, forged compstar rods, and about a -4cc forged 'flat top' (valve relief only) piston with truck heads (either 317 or 035). This should get you in the ~9.5:1 SCR range.
For tuning, if you decide MAF, Glen Lipinski is a great guy and an awesome tuner. He doesn't do SD tho. If you want SD, look into XP racing.
Good luck
On a FI car you should use SD, and it works great for all weather conditions and can still be a DD. At XP Racing the owner will be able to explain what will be best, be able to hook you up, and be able to tune your car.
The OKGMP website is good for getting local help and info on these cars. The XP Racing guy is on the board all the time.
