What to look for in a cylinder head for boost
What do you look for in a Forced Induction cylinder head? Is just the best flowing numbers at the lift your cam will see what to look for? Does it matter if the ports are hogged out for highest flow numbers because you are boosted? I know many F/Ybody guys go with 6.0L heads to lower compression ratio. I will be running the new heads on a 5.3L, so even an LS6 head would be a drop in compression ratio for me.
Just an example, but I have been looking at Patriot Performance's stage2 LS6 heads. Also, I have been looking at TEA heads, but trying to find more info on them such as price and port volumes. TEA seems to have the exhuast port down..they flow really well on the exhaust side. What are you guys running and what rwhp gains have you seen with the addition of heads?
