Default Eagle or Callies crank for FI?

If your building a supercharger combo for 900 rwhp which of the two would you choose? Are they just about the same or is one slightly stronger than the other? The callies crank would be the comp star version.

With the correct prep, the stock crank can hold that. Why dont you keep your 700 bucks and spend it on something else?? IMO.

Either crank will work just fine, unless you are going to be pushing a lot more than 1000 hp I'd stick with the stock crank and up grade the rods and pistons. Save lots of money.

Really, I didn't know that a stock crank was 4" I'm planning on building a 402ci that's why I asked.

A stock crank itsnt 4'. Maybe you should have been more specific. You just said 900 hp not engine displacement. Sorry that's what I was goin off of.

I've had really good luck with Eagle but if you plan on spinning it over 850 rwhp or so I would go with a Kellog.

I would run the Callies compstar,i use them in 90% of my fi builds up to 1200hp.The Eagle is a good crank though-i have seen them hold over 1500hp.Sometimes the Eagle cranks leave a little to be desired on the journal finish.

lso the Callies crank comes with a keyway for the crank pulley, a must if your driving a blower hard enough for 900 hp

Callies by far!

Yes this is a 3rd party experience since I'm using the stock crank in a 800whp application and have never had either but from what I have seen and heard callies is the way to go and eagle is junk! I saw a thread about a guy who broke a eagle crank at something like 600hp a threshold where not even a stock crank should break but that was probably just a bad forging but I've also heard other horror stories about eagle but that's just hear say its all up to your preference in the end man!

Best of luck!

I researched both brands, and found that Callies has the best quality (according to all the sources I found, including vendors I spoke to). Not sure what the stock crank is capable of, but I would select a Callies over an Eagle every time.

I vote callies. The only thing I've heard on the callies is the crank nose snapping off on blower cars but thats with the LT-1 stuff.
